Local residential developer Robert L. Rizzo has submitted a preliminary subdivision plan to the Planning Board proposing approximately 22 custom-built homes on a 9.5-acre parcel located at the junction of Sumner and Union Streets.
Subdivision Details and Previous Developments
Rizzo plans to develop 15,000-square-foot lots tailored for single-family custom homes on land currently owned by Harry E. Fraser of 505 Sumner Street. Under the preliminary design, the Frasers’ historic Cape Cod-style residence will be preserved and retained within the new neighborhood layout if final approval is granted.
The proposed residential enclave will be officially named Greenfield Estates II. Developer Rizzo has an extensive track record in Norwood’s residential real estate market, having previously constructed Greenfield Estates I—which encompassed Mill Pond Lane and Coach Lane off Union Street—as well as developing more than 200 house lots across town, including Suffolk Drive and the ongoing Whitewood Circle project.
