Female Drivers Take Center Stage at Norwood Arena Speedway Event
The distaff side will take the spotlight Friday night at Norwood Arena Speedway when a girls demolition derby will be part of the program. There will also be three men’s derbies plus a men’s feature event with the action beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Paul Rogers of Dedham will be attempting to add to his 117-point total with another feature win. In racing last Saturday night, Rogers won the Late Model Sportsman Division. Armando Vieira of Medfield was sixth and Bob Healey of Norwood was seventh. Russ Healey of Norwood was edged out by Paul Thibault of Millis in the Professional Street Division. Bob Armstrong of Pembroke was fourth. Bill Keene of Dedham won the Volkswagen Division, beating Chuck Whynot of Randolph. Larry Antonellis of Braintree was fourth.
