1970s yellow school bus labeled New England School District with children boarding near a church in autumn

On July 10, 1975, notice was officially distributed regarding the seasonal social calendar for the youth of St. Catherine of Siena Parish.

The parish’s Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) finalized organizational plans to host an upcoming summer beach party at Horseneck Beach scheduled for this coming Sunday.

To coordinate group transportation, all participating parish members wishing to attend the coastal excursion were instructed to gather together in the local Star Market parking lot at 8:00 a.m. on the morning of the trip. Organizers confirmed that specialized cooking grills would be provided directly at the beach site for cookout purposes throughout the day. Additionally, families were advised that required bus transit fares could be dropped off directly at the parish rectory prior to the departure date.
