One of Three Brothers Serving in Armed Forces

A war department telegram received Wednesday night informed Mr. and Mrs. Victor Mulacheski of Talbot Avenue, Norwood, that their son, Chester J. Mulacheski, 22, had been killed in action in Holland on September 17th. A Private First Class, he was with an infantry unit.

Graduate of Norwood High School, Mulacheski worked at Winslow Brothers & Smith Co. before entering the service two years ago this December. He trained at a station in Georgia. He went overseas a year ago last June and was in the African campaign, and then in England before moving to France.

The family’s last letter from him was received three weeks ago when he said he had been ill, but was recovering and expected to be back in action soon.

There are two other Mulacheski boys in the service. Stephen F. is also in an infantry outfit in France and has been overseas for the same length of time as Chester. Frinky, 19, is in the Navy and was last heard from in France also. He will have been out of the country next year next January but writes that he may be home for Christmas.

Besides his parents and his brothers Pfc. Mulacheski also leaves a sister Mrs. Helen Mackinaw.
