
Welcome Wagon celebrates an anniversary this year—its twenty-fifth, This international service greets families on Important occasions in their lives, in communities all over the United States, Canada, Hawaii, and Australia.
A station wagon recently drove up to the White House, and the Welcome Wagon Hostess in Washington, D.C. paid a newcomer call at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The name of the new family was Eisenhower. They were presented with literature and information about local civic organizations, and gifts from the local civic-minded merchants—the same welcome accorded to new families in communities all over the country.
Welcome Wagon in Westwood and Norwood is about to celebrate an anniversary. It will be one year ago in May that Mrs. Margaret Robins, the local Hostess, took the training course in New York.
“Friendly Neighbors Always Call Welcome Wagon!” The number is DE 3-1973-M, or call Mrs. Marjorie Dillard, NO 7-3435-W, and notify of new arrivals. Then the green “Welcome Wagon”, so kindly provided by R. E. Hight Chevrolet of Norwood, will roll up to the newcomers’ door, with greetings and gifts from the civic-minded local merchants.
