A Norwood veteran, his wife and one-year-old son will be without a home Saturday unless some kind person in Norwood or vicinity comes to their rescue.

Tomorrow, Chester Griffiths, a veteran of three years in the U.S. Army has to leave the room where he and his family have been living since his discharge two weeks ago. They have searched everywhere for an apartment and have advertised. but with no success.

Although Iwo other rooms are vacant the room Chester and his wife. Bernice and baby Allan are now living in. is so crowded, the baby has to sleep in the same bed with his parents, there being no room for a crib. Now they are forced to leave this place, which they could barely manage to pay for and provide for their sustenance, in order to make room for three college boys who will occupy their room and two others.

The Griffiths area t sitting back idly and looking for charity Mr. Griffiths, who served three years with the medical corps in the Army, tried to re-enlist in an effort to solve their problem, but he was rejected because of arthritis. He has just obtained a good position as a painter and is willing to take any place which he can afford.

Unfortunately, he was discharged too late to be considered for a home at the veterans project on Winter Street.

Considerate neighbors have taken care of Allan while his parents searched for a room and have helped them in other ways but have been unable to provide living quarters for them.

This veteran, like many others, did his share in bringing about our victory and made possible the comparative peace and tranquility we now enjoy. The least he should have is a place to live so that he can once again pursue his livelihood with his family.
