Ellis Children Use Street For Playground-This Day In Norwood History-September 8, 1962

Children of the Ellis Gardens neighborhood use a street for a baseball game, the only area available to them at the moment for recreation.

It is the hope of the Ellis Gardens Playground Committee that the Special Town Meeting planned for later this month will approve a request for $17,000 to continue the work on a most pressing need—a playground for the children.
