Ron Alexander, Baseball Chairman of the Norwood July 4th Committee, announced today that the Milton American Legion Baseball Club will be the opponent for the local Legion team on Wednesday, July 4th.
The game will be played at the Civic Field beginning at 12 noon.
This game will be a return match, and the local nine will be attempting to amend for an opening game loss suffered earlier this year at Milton.
The Milton team this year has many stars from the Bay State League as well as from the Boston parochial schools.
Gus Petrovek and Marty Kuperatz, coaches of the Norwood American Legion team, have assembled a stellar group of boys this year, and have indicated that the battery of Paul Kristenson and Tom Furlong will be ready for this all-important game on July 4th.
