Tuesday morning last week marked the start of the Norwood Girls’ Midget Softball League. It was also the first time In the league’s history that a no-hitter was pitched Debbie Kelley of the Cleveland performed the feat as her mates downed the Prescott by a score of 5-0. Fisher was the hitting star for the Cleveland as she had three hits, including two home runs.

In somewhat of a surprise, the Endean came up with fourteen runs in the first inning and went on to beat Father McAleer’s by a score of 30-3.

Mary Fraser and Taggart had perfect days at the plate with four hits each. Larson, Griffin and Flaherty each hit safely for Father Mc-Aleer’s.

Elliot Park produced thirteen runs in the fifth inning on their way to a 23-13 victory over Pleasant Park. J. Ostrom and M. Gugliotta had four hits for the winners, including two homers.

The Callahan collected fourteen hits for their sixteen runs as they won easily over the Shattuck by a score of 16-2.

The Shattuck scored both their runs in the fifth on four straight singles, with Hopkins and Lydon driving in the runs. MaryAnna Vinson was the star for the Callahan as she pitched and. also had four straight hits.

Bond St. came up with eleven runs in the sixth inning with Harris and Thomas driving in two runs each with doubles. Cia Cia and McCormack had four hits in six trips each, while Septelka and Pongitori had four hits each for Wilson Street in a losing cause. Score Bond St. 16, Wilson St. 2.
