If you haven’t seen some of your friends around town lately the chances are that they are spending a vacation on the Cape.
One of the most popular Cape spots is Swift’s Beach and Cape Cod Village where, over a score of Norwood residents are making merry and enjoying their summer vacation.
An excellent beach, fine cottages with all improvements, and nearby stores and a movie, bowling alleys, and dance hall, afford vacationers at this summer resort everything they need for an ideal vacation.
Among those vacationing at Swift’s Beach are Miss Ruth Lawson of Plimpton Avenue, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Davis’ of Nichols Street, Mr. and Mrs. Rosewell Norton and family of Hoyle Street, and Miss Mary Farren. Others from Norwood are, Mr. and Mrs. William Ahern and family of Cross Street, Mr. and Mrs. William Corcoran of Cross Street, Jane Corcoran of Earle Street, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Mazzola of Baker Street, Mr and Mrs. James Regan, Sr., of Cross street, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Welsh of Elliot street and their daughter, Betty; Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Costello and family of High street, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Regan and. family, Mrs, James Besso and her daughter, Ann, of Rock street, Eleanor Carroll and Marion Praino.
Also seen at the beach were Mr. and Mrs. John McDonough and family of North Avenue, Mr and Mrs. Martin Wallace and their daughters Mary and Dorothy of Nahatan Street, Mrs. Ruth Flood and daughter Betty of Railroad Avenue, Mr. and Mrs, James Regan and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Carpenter and family of Florence avenue.
Walpole residents are also enjoying the cool vacation spot among whom are Miss Mary Cullinane, Acting Police Chief Timothy Cullinane and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Manning and family (Mrs. Manning is the former Peggy Corcoran of Rock Street and now resides in Milton), Mr and Mrs. Al Johnson and daughter, Louise, of New York. Mrs. Johnson is the former Nora Farrell of Walpole. Mrs. Margaret Farrell of Walpole, who is 81 years old, is one of the biggest boosters of Swift’s Beach and enters the water every day. Mr and Mrs. Coleman Foley«of Walpole are also at Swift’s Beach.
