Beautiful Panelling, Latest Equipment For Local Store

Norwood shopping service marches on as Clear Weave Hosiery Stores, Inc., opens its new, more spacious shop on Washington Street. Last Friday Town Manager William C. Kendrick and the Clearweave officials gathered at the opening to inaugurate a season of better shopping conditions at the Clear Weave shop.

Clear Weave has been in business in Norwood for about eight years and the opening of their new store is a milestone in the company’s history. The decorative scheme in the store is particularly attractive. Light, bird’s eye maple paneling, indirect lighting fixtures, and colorful paper awnings in the dress department make the general appearance one of which Norwood’s shoppers can well be proud. Quality merchandise is all displayed on the new racks or on the latest tables and counters.

The windows are beautifully decorated in harmony with the interior of the shop. The maple walls and: gay, green grass make a fitting background for the display of summer clothes.

Miss Alice Riley, who has been employed at Clear Weave since it first opened, says that there will be no change of personnel policy along with the change in location. The Norwood store will continue to hire Norwood girls or girls from the Norwood district.
