James Porter, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Porter of 61 Washington street, recently graduated from the pilot school at Napier Field, Dothan, Alabama, receiving his commission as 2nd Lieutenant and his silver wings.
Lt. Porter is now on a five-day furlough and will return to Alabama for six weeks of training in gunnery. Lt. Porter entered the service a year and a half ago and since has been training in air fields in Tennessee and Alabama.
