A North Abington woman was injured late Saturday night when struck on the left shoulder by a flying wheel which came off a car in one of the Bomber races at the Norwood Arena.
Miss Joan DeCosta, 19, of 11 Pine Street, North Abington, was seated in the reserved seat section with a group of friends when the mishap occurred.
Rushed to the Norwood Hospital in the Arena ambulance, she was treated for a fractured clavicle of the left shoulder and other Injuries and admitted as a patient. Yesterday she was reported to be resting comfortably.
