
The Norwood Auxiliary Police pistol team further distinguished Itself recently by taking first place In a match with sixteen other New England Civil Defense teams. The match was part of the annual shoot sponsored by the United Services of New England and held at Camp Curtis’ Guild, Wakefield.
Norwood’s four-man team scored a total of 775 of a possible 800.
Runner-up Beverly Civil Defense team was eight points behind with a 747.
Individual medals were presented to team captain Robert Baxter by Colonel George D. Crowell, one of the founders of the Tournament.
