On Sunday, August 12, the Colonial Boys of Norwood headed for Western Massachusetts to compete at Millbury, and again walked away with the highest score of the day, a 93.50.

The boys also were in a meet on VJ Day, at Pawtucket, R. I. They were the only junior fife corps competing, but they still captured first prize of $100. They won over such top-notch organizations as the Bristol Rangers, the Warren Indians, and the Notre Dame Crusaders. These units came in second, third, and fourth, respectively.

Nancy McCarthy, the Colonials majorette, also took home a second-place award.

Next Sunday the boys will travel to Westfield, Mass., for the Annual Convention. Also this week they helped their drum instructor celebrate his 75th birthday. All the members would like this opportunity to thank him for the help he has given them in the past.
