NEW LOOK AT NORWOOD LAUNDRY — Architect’s sketch of the new front being installed at the Norwood Laundry Co., a landmark in Ward Five for a quarter of a century. Work is expected to be completed in a month. The new front is the final step in re-finishing and re-equipping the entire plant. The shirt laundering department has been equipped with an electronically operated finishing machine timed to the split-second for finish perfection and uniform quality.

There is a separate section for special attention to sports shirts. And all missing buttons are replaced before the shirts are wrapped for return to the customer. A giant automatic washer is in continual operating washing clothes to snowy perfection.

Of course, there is a new fur storage vault, the only one in Norwood. A completely equipped dry cleaning plant features the “Topomatic” a revolutionary machine which presses the top of pants to perfection.

The Norwood Laundry and Cleaners is the only complete laundry in Norwood and the firm is now offering one-hour dry cleaning service.
