Funeral services were held Monday morning for Richard E. Oldham, who died last Friday at his home at 58 Railroad Avenue, which was also the home in which he was born over 83 years age.
Rev. Robert MacAleer was the celebrant at the High Mass held at 9 o’clock in St. Catherine’s church. Monsignor Joseph C. Walsh was present on the altar in honor of the deceased, and also read the committal service at the Interment which was held at the Highland cemetery. Mr. Oldham is survived by a ^sister, Miss Alary Oldham, and two brothers, John P. and Robert B., all of Norwood.
Mr. Oldham was extremely active in town and church affairs. He was one of the charter members of the St. Catherine’s Court of Foresters, and a familiar figure among the church-goers, being present at Mass regularly every morning until failing health prevented him from attending three years ago.
