Rev Arthur Howe Pingree 1868 – 1915

Rev. Arthur H. Pingree, pastor elect of the Congregational church of this town, begins his labors here and occupies the pulpit of the church for his first sermon the coming Sunday.

The church at Pigeon Cove where Mr. Pingree has for two or three years been pastor, was loth to part with him and adopted a series of most appreciative and commendatory resolutions which were sent to the Norwood church and read at the morning service last Sunday.

ln coming thus to a wider and more important charge Mr. Pingree bears the hearty God speed of his former parishioners and we have no doubt his high Christian character will find for him a warm place in the united hearts of his parish here, while at the same time his genial disposition and courteous bearing will win for him a host of friends in the civil, religious and social circles of our town.

We are glad in this public way to extend a warm and cordial welcome to Mr. Pingree and trust that he will find Norwood a pleasant, companionable and delightful home.
