Patrolman James Murphy of the Norwood police suffered slight burns on three fingers of his right hand Tuesday flight when he grabbed a burning radio and threw It out a window at the home of Albert J. Holmann, 1223 Washington Street, South Norwood.
The fire was discovered by Patrolman John Kelley who sounded an alarm front Box 48 at Washington and Tremont Streets. It was while the fire apparatus was en route to the scene that Officer Murphy entered the home and threw the burning radio set out a window. No estimate of the damage was available.
