New Assignments Given To Officers
A new schedule for the Norwood Police Department became effective yesterday with the posting of new assignments for members of the force. While new assignments have not been made for some time, in the Norwood department, many departments find it good policy to rearrange the schedule from time to time.
Under the new. schedule Sergeant Coyne will be in charge of platoon one on duly from midnight to « n.m., with Patrolman Flood assigned to Route. J, Patrolman Jankowski to Route 1A, and Patrolman Kelley to Route 3, with Patrolman Snow at the desk.
Sergeant Lydon will be in charge of Platoon 2 with Patrolman McNulty on Route 1, Patrolman Curran on Route 2, and Patrolman Nee on Route 3, with Patrolman Aturphy at the desk for the 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. hours of duty. Sergeant Curran will have charge of Platoon 3 on duty from 4 p.m. to 2 p.m. with Patrolman Breen on Route J, Patrolman Riley patroling car No. 2 on Route 1A, Patrolman Mullane on Route 3. with Patrolman Folan al the desk Patrolman Donnell and . Sergeant Curran have been assigned to Washington street.
