Welcome to our Norwood Then & Now project! Each week, we’ll post a “then” photo of a location or building in Norwood. We’re asking the public to send us photos of the same location, either from your collection through the years or new photos you’ve taken today. Our goal is to capture the changes different areas in Norwood have undergone over the years. Each photo will be added to our archive with credit to you, We’ll share the “Then & Now” photos on our social media.
This week, our “then” photo shows the Norwood Theater soon after it was built. It was constructed by the Premier Theatre Company in 1926, and opened on August 31, 1927.
