We invite YOU to participate in our “Then & Now Photo” Project!

Photos are an excellent way to capture history. The Norwood Historical Society is home to thousands of historic photos that tell stories of Norwood & South Dedham history.
We’re sharing photos of Norwood from the past, and are asking you to contribute your photos of the same location through the years.
Help us gain insight into the changes Norwood has gone through over the past century and a half! Recreate a ‘today’ version of historic photographs of Norwood!
Here’s how it works:

- Take a look at the historic photos of Norwood on our “Norwood Then and Now” pages
- Choose a photo that you want to recreate.
- Share photos from your personal collection of the same location. Or take a modern version of that photo and see how closely you can replicate the angle and view of the historic photo,
- Let us know what changes you notice between the “Than” and “Now” photos.
Be a historian! If someone from the future asked you what was happening at the time in history when you took YOUR photo, what kind of information would be helpful to them?
