
Both Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coxon, owners of the Norwood Manor, 776 Providence Highway, Norwood, have had many years of experience catering to the dining public — one reason why the Manor is one of Norwood’s most popular eating spots.
Mr. Coxon was formerly with Abner Wheeler’s, the Towne Line and the New Ocean House, while Mrs. Coxon, who is the Norwood Manor’s hostess, was employed by the Hotel Statler for 4 years.
Mr and Mrs. Coxon, who have owned the Manor for the past 8 months, specialize in full-course luncheons, from 65 cents up, and full-course dinners, from 90 cents.
And their baker, Rudolph Steivenger, turns out tasty pastry that has attained great popularity, yes, he makes delicious pies, cakes, wedding cakes, rolls and dozens of other items, which can be served with the meals or purchased to take out.
The Norwood Manor has a complete soda fountain, featuring Hood’s Ice Cream, and with all kinds of ice cream and soda concoctions available.
The Norwood Manor is a gleaming. white building which can be seen from a great distance. The interior is beautifully decorated — and, most important of all, is spic and span clean!
You can expect courteous service, good food and reasonable prices at the Norwood Manor Stop in soon . . . it’s open from 11 a.m.
