The Norwood Athletic Association was organized at the rooms in the Norwood Press Works Monday evening, February 11. The following officers were elected under the provisional constitution:
President, Warren F. Taylor.
Vice President, Robert Barr.
Secretary, Edward F. Bryant.
Treasurer, Alvin W. Morse.
Directors, Donald E. Barr, J. Harris Haskins, Harry Lawton.
This board of peers comprises the governing committee. It was intended by those in control to distribute the offices equally between the employees of the Press works and the townspeople, but the latter not being in attendance such a course was impossible. Considerable enthusiasm is felt at the Press works in the matter of having a first-class gymnasium and the out-door sports which accompany it, and if the Norwood police attend the next meeting, due notice of which will be given, and appear interested in the project, there is no doubt that the town can have in a very short time a powerful athletic association.
