One year ago this week marked the opening of Norwood’s first war surplus store — Mal’s War Surplus at 1020 and 1024 Washington Street, South Norwood—which has attracted the public from near and far by the continual practice of selling merchandise at the lowest prices.

Mal is now celebrating his first anniversary with a special stocktaking and birthday sale.

Through his many contacts with nationally advertised manufacturers, he has been able to obtain the needed items at prices unheard of before.

Mal’s motto has been, is and will remain, “Mal sells at prices that can’t be beaten.”

Mal wishes to express his thanks to the public for their worthy patronage. (McLean Photo)
