The Norwood Debonnaires topped off their eighth annual music festival last Saturday night by drawing the ticket of Walter Keddy, manager of the Walter J. Dempsey insurance office here, as the grand prize winner of their 1965 Chevelle. Monsignor Robert J. Sennott officiated’ at the drawing which closed the evening’s program for the Debs “Bugler’s Holiday”, the Mayflower Circuit drum and bugle competition held at the Norwood High School field.
Although the evening was almost rained out, over 600 paid attendance watched the twelve drum and bugle corps and three drill teams from Eastern Massachusetts step off their paces in smart competition form.

Judging was handled by the Bay State Judges Association and Rev. Joseph T. Greer, curate at St. Catherine’s Church, awarded the prizes for Class A and Class B winners. In Class A the Paramounts of Worcester were first, with the Graniteers of New Hampshire, second, and the Notables of Auburn, third. In Class B, the White Eagles of Lawrence, placed first, the Brigadiers of Randolph second, and the Militiamen of Bedford, third.

Presenting the prizes to the Drill Team and Class C winners was Harold Noonan, president of the Debs’ Parents Association. Drill Team winners were led by the I. C. Ecumen of Marlboro with St. Anthony’s of Everett and the Rangerettes of Franklin, in order. The I. C. Ecumen also took first in the drum and bugle competition in Class C, followed by the Golden Rays of Stoughton and the Royal Squires of Fitchburg.
