Is Aerial Gunner

Pfc Dominic Gemelli, who was recently on a five-day furlough here, has returned to his camp at Salt Lake City. An aerial gunner on a B-24, Pfc. Gemelli has received his wings and is expected to be moved to a station in California when he returns to Utah.

One of the first volunteers from Norwood, he has been in the service two years this December.

WAVE Graduates

Teresa N. O’Brien, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael O’Brien, 120 Pleasant Street, Norwood, who enlisted in the WAVES on June 3rd, was graduated on October 4th from the Naval Training School for Yeomen, Stillwater, Oklahoma., She has earned the rating of Yeoman, third class, and has been assigned to active duty at the Bureau of Naval Personnel, Washington, D. C.

Before entering the service, she was employed as a bookbinder at Plimpton Press.

Is Promoted

Technical Sergeant Charles Drummey has been promoted from T/Sgt. fourth grade to T/Sgt. third grade. He is at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he plays the piano in the post orchestra. This sixteen-piece band broadcast from St. Louis on Tuesday night and was heard over WEEI.

To Study Chinese

Cpl. Everett Wilson, 38 Florence Avenue, who has been the 13th General Hospital with Unit for the past year was recently sent to the University of California, Berkeley, to study the Chinese language.

Is Army Chaplain

The Rev. William Kerstetter, for five years assistant minister at the United Church, Norwood, has received his call as an Army chaplain. He will report for five weeks basic training at Harvard University on November 6th.

Mr. Kerstetter, a graduate of Dickinson College and Boston University Theological School, received his Ph.D. degree from Boston University graduate school, and has been pastor in Hull, Massachusetts.

Aviation Cadet Raymond Girrard Pendergast, son of ‘Mr., arid Mrs. Raymond G. Pendergast of 4 Railroad Avenue, Norwood, has completed his training at the Basic Flying School, Courtland, Alabama, and has been transferred
