Winter sports enthusiasts will soon have another fine skating rink and park site, according to an announcement made by W. Cameron Forbes at the Chamber of Commerce meeting held at his home last Tuesday evening. Mr. Forbes has made tentative plans to present to the town of Norwood a tract of land on Washington Street near Upland Road.
He asserted that a rapidly flowing brook runs through the property, proceeds under a culvert which extends under Washington Street, and the railroad tracks located near that point. He went on to explain that the water could be dammed up at the culvert opening near Washington Street thus enabling the water to gather in this tract of land which forms a natural basin.
