Fall Members Meeting: Ethel Reed and the New Art of the 1890s

This gathering will feature an introduction to our fall exhibit, Ethel Reed and the New Art of the 1890s by Prof. Bryan Burns of Wellesley College.
Boston artist Ethel Reed rose to fame as “the foremost woman poster maker in America,” with images featuring strong female figures.
We will examine her public identity and illustrations to recover her independent spirit. Attendance is open to all. Please join us!
