EDMUND J. SHATTUCK.

Edmund James Shattuck, a member of one of Norwood’s oldest and best-known families, died on Monday at his home, 92 River Place, Dedham, at the age of 75.

Born in Norwood, he was a graduate of the Middlesex School In Concord and of Dartmouth College, class of 1910. He had made his home in Dedham for the past 30 years.

Mr. Shattuck was district manager of the George H. Morrill Division of the Sun Chemical Company, manufacturers of printing inks. He was a 50-year member of Orient Lodge, AF & AM, and Temple Commandery of Norwood.

Private funeral services were held at the May Funeral Home in Norwood with the Rev. Allen Keedy, minister of the First Congregational Church, officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gretchen (Simpson) Shattuck; a son, Edmund James Shattuck, Jr., of Dedham, and two sisters, Mrs. Philip Reed of Dedham and Mrs. Harry F. Allen of St. Petersburg, Fla.
