Newcomers from various parts of the States gathered at the home of Mrs. Edward Collins last Thursday evening. At this initial meeting of the Welcome Wagon Club, the group heard Miss Marguerite Krupp from North Eastern University.

An interesting account of Norwood’s early history was given. Miss Krupp described the period when the town was a part of Dedham, and the events leading up to the town’s independence in 1872 She closed her talk with a discussion about George Willett who pioneered community planning in this area.

The club endeavors to provide its members with an entertaining program as well as a diversified one. and has planned an exciting year for its members.
