This weekend Norwoodites and members of surrounding towns will be in for a rare treat when they see the “fun for the family” play, “Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House.” The Curtain Timers’ production will be at the Norwood Junior High School on Saturday, May 5, at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door and are available from any Curtain Timer member.

Starring as Mr. and Mrs. Blandings are Russell Bragg and Lou Gahm. Lou plays the scatter-brained Muriel Blandings who has’ a tendency to think she knows more than her husband. Lou is a familiar face to Curtain Timer followers and is most recently remembered for her gifted performance as Eliza Doolittle in “Pygmalion.”

A relative newcomer to the Curtain Timers, but not to Norwood, having lived here all his life, is the male lead, Russ Bragg. Russ plays the like, able Jim Blandings. Though thils is his first, role with the Curtain Timers he has been busy behind their scenes building sets for “Ten ’Little Indians,” “Beauty and The Beast” and even Mr. Blandings.” In the past years he has been in “Three Men on A Horse” and in one-act plays.

Included in her credits are roles in “Harvey,” “Strange Bedfellows,” and “Ladies in Retirement.” When not on stage Lou has been busy behind the scenes in all phases of production work.
