Low Bidders of Two To Get Contract For Project To Start Soon
The Norwood selectmen approved a resolution awarding the contract for the water tank and tower P. W. A. project to the Chicago Bridge and Iron Company on Tuesday night. The resolution adopted by the Board must be approved by the regional director of the P. W. A. before the contract can be awarded.
The Chicago Bridge and Iron Company was the low bidder of two on the job with their figure $52,535.00, and the Board’s resolution quoting this fact and the fact that in its estimation the Company is financially responsible and competent to complete the work in a satisfactory manner, awarded tho contract to them. Work on the project is expected to begin early in December.
