They say that teachers have pets but the children of St. Catherine’s School have their own little pet—a black crow named “Pluto.” Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Halstead of Howard street, “Pluto” spends most of the day flying around the school. Often he wings his way into the classroom and purloins a pencil, a pen or a piece of paper. The children enjoy his antics very much as the above photograph shows and while the Sisters naturally don’t like to have their classes disrupted, they have taken a liking to Pluto’s familiar “caw-caw.” (Surette Photo)
