Military Funeral Sunday Afternoon At Congregational

A military funeral for Ernest J. Wiesmann, Jr., air cadet killed in the mid-air crash, of two Army training planes over the Greenville, Mississippi, Flying School on Tuesday will be held at the First Congregational Church, Norwood, on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 The Rev. William F. English will officiate.

Cadet Wiesmann, who had been in aviation cadet training for some six months, had but recently entered Junior flight training at the Mississippi base. He was well on his way to earning his wings.

A graduate of Norwood High School, Cadet Wiesmann was employed at Hood’s store. He was active in the Congregational Church in the Young People’s Fellowship as president of the Graduate Club at one time, and as a teacher in the church school.

He leaves his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest B. Wiesmann of 176 Railroad Avenue, and one brother, Robert.
