M38A2 Practice Bomb

NORWOOD, Sept. 23—An air raid, with planes zooming over the town, bombs bursting and anti-aircraft guns barking, will be staged tomorrow night by the Norwood civil defense group under the auspices of the Massachusetts Committee on Public Safety.

The roar of demolition bombs, touched off to simulate the dropping of destructive packages from flying bombers, will announce the attack. Searchlights will spot the bombers for the anti-aircraft guns. Chief Pilot Joseph Garside of the Wiggins Airways will dispatch the planes from Norwood Airport for the attack on the town.

After the raid, a mass meeting will be held at the Norwood Armory by the Norwood Committee on Public Safety.
