Westover Estates, a planned suburban community, located in Norwood, will be ready for inspection on Saturday, June 18, it was announced yesterday. Two furnished model homes — a split-level and ranch— will be on display.
The architects, Compton and Pierce, have created an invitation to indoor-outdoor living in each home by the use of window walls which open onto sheltered lawns or patios. Together with the builders, Jacet Construction Corporation, Cambridge, they have introduced the quality and luxuries usually expected in only the costliest of homes . . . floor-to-ceiling brick fireplaces with raised hearths, three large bedrooms with full-height sliding door closets, two full ceramic tile baths, with built-in vanities and all-electric Hotpoint kitchens.
Near to shopping, transportation, schools and churches of all , faiths, Westover Estates is ideally located to take advantage of secluded mile-long Willet Pond, with it unsurpassed swimming, boating and fishing. Boston is only 14 miles away, less than 30 minutes commuting on the many trains between both Route 128 station and Norwood to Boston’s South Station.
A private preview showing of Westover Estates will be held on Friday, June 17, one day prior to the official opening. Invited guests will include town officials, leading architectural and construction firms, business leaders and members of the press.
