Miss Margaret I Pendergast was married Sunday afternoon at 3.00 o’clock at St. Catherine’s Church to Matthew F. Foley, U.S.N Rt. Rev. Joseph C. Walsh officiated at the ceremony.

The bride was dressed in a duchess satin gown trimmed with Venetian lace and carried a white prayer book. She was attended by her sister, Miss Jean M. Pendergast as a bridesmaid, wearing a powder blue gown and carrying red roses.

The best man was Cpl. John Black USMC and Neil Hcrlihy served as usher. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

Mrs. Foley is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. C. J. Pendergast of 76 Railroad avenue. She is a graduate .of St. Catherine’s School and Norwood High class of ’42. Mr Foley is the son of Mr and Mrs. Coleman J Foley of 28 Cleveland avenue lie is also a.graduate of St. Catherine’s and Norwood High class of ’41.

After a trip to NewYork, the couple will be home to friends at 76 Railroad avenue.

Previous to the nuptials, the bride was honored at a dinner party and a shower held over the weekend. Miss Catherine Divine with Miss Mary Mulkern as co-hostess gave a greenback shower at the home of Miss Divine at 52 Cross street. Color decorations were carried out in pink and white. Miss Betty Carmody of Boston entertained with songs and dancing was enjoyed throughout the evening Refreshments were served by Miss Divine and Miss Mulkern.
