Cash estimated at between $60 and $70 was stolen in a break at the Village Inn at Post Office Square, Norwood, last Thursday night.
Entry was made by breaking a rear window, and locks were also smashed during the burglary.
The break was discovered by Robert Collins, employee of the Inn, when he opened for business in the morning. Police were notified.
A check of the premises disclosed that between $60 and $70 in petty cash was stolen, as well as the cash contents of two cigarette vending machines. Attempts to break into the cash registers failed.
