Steve Marchena, Classical Guitarist

Local musician Steve Marchena opens the holiday season with a mix of classical virtuoso standards and his own adaptation of more contemporary music.
Grace Allendorf, Mezzo-soprano
Sunday, December 8 at 2 pm
Norwood native Grace Allendorf returns for her annual concert, featuring holiday favorites from the classical repertoire to popular hits.
Children’s Holiday Stories & Crafts
Saturday, December 14 at 2 pm
We are organizing an afternoon with holiday stories and crafting for children with parental supervision. Space is limited, so please register your participation by noon on December 12, with an email to info@norwoodhistoricalsociety.org
Amici Cantores in Concert

Founded in 2010, under the direction of Catherine Connor-Moen, Amici Cantores consists of 13 talented and well seasoned singers with a wide range of musical backgrounds. Amici Cantores performs literature both of sacred and secular genres without accompaniment. The choir’s rich and diverse repertoire includes madrigals, motets, folk songs and a capella jazz.
Norwood High School Madrigals’ Choir

The Madrigals will close out our holiday events, with their crowd-pleasing versions of familiar songs rising up through the Great Hall of the Day House.
Holiday Open House with Live Jazz
Wednesday, December 18th, 7-9 pm
Join us for warm cheer on a cold night! The Day House will be filled with music from a Jazz trio in performance, as well as the lights, colors, and history of our Deck the Halls: Songs of the Season decorations. We’ll be offering snacks and drinks, so drop by anytime – all are welcome!

Meetings of the Board of Governors are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Day House.
Members’ meetings are normally held on the fourth Wednesday of April and October, and we host a tour in Norwood, or nearby, every June. Other programs and special events scattered throughout the year.
